REPORT OF ASSOCIATION MEETING
We the Department of Mathematics conducted the Association meeting for the academic year 2023-2024 on 17 th February 2024 in our college Auditorium at 10.00 am with the Welcome address rendered by Mr. U.Akash of III B.Sc. Maths Followed by Presidential Address by our college Principal Dr. V. M. Muthuramalinga Andavar .
Dr.P.Sona,Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics in Dr.M.G.R. Educational &Reasearch Institute ,Chennai accepted to be one of the Resource Person on the Topic” UNLOCK YOUR MATH POTENTIAL”.
Dr. S. Meenakshi, Associate Professor and Head ,Department of Mathematics ,Associate Director –Academic Course UGC in Vel’s Institute of Science,Technology and Advance Studies, Chennai accepted to be the other Resource Person and rendered her speech on the Topic “ENERGY OF GRAPHS”
Students were well enlightened on the Topics and the Session was very much Informative and interactive.
Mastering the Ceremony was done by Mr. P.Dhingaran of II B.Sc. Maths and Vote of thanks by Mr. R.Ayyanar of III B.Sc. Maths. The programme came to an end with National Anthem.
Report for Field Trip
Date: 03.02.2024
Timing: 9.00 a.m to 3 p.m.
Our Principal,Staff and Students Garlanded our founder. Students boarded the cab at 9 a.m. along with in charge Professors and reached the Planetarium at 10.20 a.m.
First We went to Science Park around the Planetarium which provides an opportunity for the visitors to learn elements of science in a natural and playful manner. These are models on display like, D.N.A. Model of a polar satellite lauching vechicle(PSLV).
Next we entered sky theature show. The Projectors project the sky on dome as seen by naked eyes. The sky shows are conducted every day. There is a great opportunity to learn more about planets, stars and other interesting astronomy facts, various elements of the universe such as comets,meteors the cosmes etc.
Later students played in the park for some time, shared food among each other on the whole it was exciting and amusing study trip for the students. It gives very informative knowledge about the universe space in a simple yet scientific manner. The people who have a great interest in astronomy related facts will find this place more interesting. More Photos were taken to make this day a memorable one.
With the blessing of the Founder of the Trustee Vallal Pachaiyappa Mudaliar and the Founder of the college C.Kandaswami Naidu Garu, Department of Mathematics for the academic year 2022-2023 began for II year and III year on 27.7.2022 and for I year on 25.8.2022with an Orientation Programme. Timetable were framed and workload were allotted to all the Faculty Members. CIA were conducted as per the schedule. Students of II year and III year participated for Olympiad in Mathematics titled as “PRECISE ENERGY” on 20th August 2022 and shortlisted for Stage II which was held on 18th October at Russian House, Chennai and received participation Certificates.
A Trade Fair was held at Island Ground by the Government of Tamilnadu .The Department Of Higher Education allotted a Stall to our College from 17.2.2023 to 19.2.2023 in which our students participated and exhibited their talents by doing Models ,making Puzzles and conducting Games.
Department of Mathematics conducted Association Meeting on 1.3.2023 with an Inter Departmental Competitions like Paper Presentation, Quiz, Adzap, Model Making and Art from Waste. Many Students from other Departments participated in the competitions and prizes were distributed to the respective students of I prize II prize and III prize winners.
Our students also participated in the competitions conducted by other Departments and own Prizes.

The Inter Departmental Competitions begin with a Prayer song.
Mr. S. Kaviselvan , II B.Sc., Mathematics delivered the Welcome Address.

- In all the events first three places were ranked by staff members of Department of Mathematics along with College committee member Mrs. S.Jagadeswari .
- The prize winners in various events and Best Student convener Mr. P. Aravindan , III B.Sc., Mathematics is honoured with prize and certificate.
- Mr. T. Lokeshwaran mastered the ceremony.
The programme ended up with a word of thanks by Mr.V.Yuvan Shankar Raja, II B.Sc., and Mathematics
HOD’s & Staff members from various Departments, Superintendent & Non – Teaching Staff members, Students of Mathematics Department and participants from all the Departments graced the Association Programme. Group photos including stage, participants, events etc., were taken as a token of good memories.
