The State and Central Government offer the following scholarships to the students of Under Graduate classes.
(a) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA/STATE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP: (for Adi Dravidas)
Students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (should be HINDUS) can apply for this scholarship. Income of the Parents of those students who apply for concession should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/-per annum. These students are also eligible for scholarship from the Adi Dravida Welfare Department.
(b) STATE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP: (for Backward Classes)
Students whose parents income does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- per annum are eligible. Denotified tribal students are exempted from the above condition.
(c) GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU – PUDHUMAI PENN SCHEME:
To encourage girl students to pursue higher education Pudhumai penn Scheme was launched by the government of Tamil Nadu. Through this scheme Rs. 1000 per month will be provided for the girls who had completed their 6th– 12th standard in the government school. The amount under this scheme will be distributed directly to the students will be distributed directly to the students bank account till their completion of UG degree.
